"The Places of Time", in its twelfth edition in 2022, is a festival that, since 2012, has been organized every year within the suggestive territory of the Metalliferous Hills and the Tuscan Maremma. A festival for the Maremma and Maremma, which wants to bring its audience to discover hidden beauties, little-known places, but of important historical and landscape value.

The program of 2022, dedicated to the centenary of Luciano Bianciardi, will also preserve the philosophy of the project which, in the desire to combine the performing arts and literature with the enhancement of the territory in all its aspects, will see all the appointments begin at sunset. , with a daily schedule of events that will give the opportunity to slowly come into contact with the surrounding environment, in a complementarity of genres - another characterizing element of the festival - and of cultural languages; the musical performances (which always vary between classical, jazz, electronic and popular music) will be preceded, in fact, by walks or meetings with guests who will talk about current and important topics or tell stories related to the territory.

The events will always be concluded with tastings of typical products, thanks to the synergy and collaboration with small companies and local producers. "The Places of Time" is a festival that makes active and widespread participation an added value and that looks at the dialogue between generations of artists as a moment of enrichment and growth; in fact, the artists who will animate the rich program of the event will be many and different, some well-known names such as Stefano Mancuso, David Riondino (historic presence at the festival), Ascanio Celestini, Giovanni Veronesi, Ginevra Di Marco, Boosta, Max Casacci, Marino Bartoletti , to name a few, and also Musica da Ripostiglio, B.A.M., the new Italian jazz talent Michelangelo Scandroglio and the young Maremma rapper 2Mind.

Over the years, the festival has hosted names of the caliber of Paolo Poli, Massimo Carlotta, Stefano Massini, Federico Rampini, Giorgio Albertazzi, Moni Ovadia, Giuseppe Cederna, Dario Vergassola, Sergio Staino, Tomaso Montanari, Stefano Bartezzaghi, Marco Risi, Andrea Purgatori , Mariangela D'Abbraccio, and many others.

"The places of time" is organized by the M.Arte association and created with the support of the Tuscany Region, with the contribution and support of the Maremma Libraries and Archives Network, the Colline Metallifere National Park and the Cassa di Risparmio Foundation from Florence; with the collaboration of the Main Sponsor Conad, Luciano Bianciardi Foundation, Cesvot.

In 2022 it involves the Municipalities of Castiglione della Pescaia, Gavorrano, Grosseto, Orbetello, Roccastrada, Scarlino. The collaboration with Conad is renewed, which demonstrates its attention to the territory and its excellence, local products that are an integral part of our culture and that together with Conad are valued. The collaboration also ensures that holders of "Carta Insieme" have a discount on all festival tickets.
